Assam: SEBA HSLC result may be delayed May 2020

Assam: SEBA HSLC result may be delayed May 2020: The results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2020 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) will be delayed for at least a month due to a nationwide lockdown due to the epidemic Covid-19.

According to the Education Department, if the schools are closed till May 31, the entire 57 days of the educational calendar will be lost. This loss can be made by leaving the summer holidays and other holidays and taking extra classes. However, it may be difficult to complete the course for the next year’s HSLC exams if the schools do not open on June 1.

Sources said it would not be possible for the 11th single state to reduce the syllabus of the 10th class board exams and a decision should be taken in this regard in the case of all the states. “A large number of students from Assam go out to study after the HSLC exams and if Assam alone reduces the syllabus, such students will face serious problems. That is why the SEBA can take this decision only if such advice is given by the Center, ”the source said.

SEBA HSLC Result Date 2020
Sources said that last year, the HSLC examination results were declared on May 15 and this year, the SEBA is hopeful of declaring the results by June 15, but it would depend on the ground situation.
